Seven people were killed and more than 20 were injured in a Kachhi Road Crash in Balochistan on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Two Mazda trucks and a passenger wagon collided on a narrow bridge near Mach in Kachhi district. The accident occurred on the Quetta-Sukkur section of the National Highway near Zamindar Hotel, according to police reports published on Monday.

The passenger wagon carried the deceased, including women and children. Soon after the crash, police and rescue workers reached the scene. They moved the bodies and injured passengers to Civil Hospital Mach. Meanwhile, several injured people were reported to be in critical condition and were being transferred to Quetta for further treatment.

How the Accident Happened

According to police, all three vehicles tried to overtake one another while crossing a narrow bridge. As a result, the vehicles collided, killing seven passengers in the wagon at the scene.

However, the exact circumstances of the crash still need further clarification. Some media reports gave different accounts of the incident. Therefore, claims about mechanical failure or vehicles plunging into a ravine remain unconfirmed without further evidence.

Ambulance Shortage Delays Transfer of Injured

The accident also highlighted problems with emergency medical transport in Mach. According to Dawn, official sources said that only one government ambulance was working at the local hospital. Two other ambulances were out of service.

As a result, medical teams faced difficulties transferring critically injured passengers to Quetta for specialised treatment. This shortage raised concerns about emergency services in the area.

Reliable ambulance services are especially important in remote areas. Seriously injured patients may need to travel to larger cities for advanced medical care. Therefore, delays in transport can create additional challenges for patients who need urgent treatment.

According to reports published on October 12, the injured were receiving medical care. Several remained in critical condition. However, the reports reviewed did not establish further verified details about their condition or the identities of all the victims.
