According to the girl’s father, he was taking his daughter to buy household supplies when the suspect, identified in reports as Jawad, confronted them. The father alleged that the suspect objected to his daughter going outside without a hijab. He then allegedly opened fire.

The girl suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Following the incident, police registered a murder case on her father’s complaint. They also launched an investigation to establish the facts.

What the FIR Says About the Killing

According to the FIR, the suspect allegedly fired seven shots at the girl in front of her father. The father also reportedly told investigators that the accused had previously objected to his daughter going outside without a hijab.

However, investigators still need to establish the exact circumstances and motive behind the shooting. The allegations must also be examined through the legal process.

Meanwhile, reports said that authorities transferred the girl’s body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police registered the case at Sadar Police Station, with her father named as the complainant.

Police Search for Suspect

As of October 17, 2026, reports indicated that the suspect had fled after the shooting. Police were searching for him.

District Police Officer Waqar Azeem Kharal reportedly took notice of the case. He directed officers to take steps to arrest the accused. In addition, reports said that police were forming special teams to trace him.

However, the latest available reports did not confirm an arrest or a court ruling in the case.

Police are continuing their investigation to examine the evidence and establish the suspect’s alleged role in the killing. The claim that the shooting resulted from a dispute over the hijab remains subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
