Residents and businesses in Islamabad can now use the PAK App to access several digital services from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). The latest update allows users to pay property tax and water bills online, reducing the need to visit government offices.
The move is part of Islamabad’s growing shift toward digital civic services. Through the PAK App, users can access services from their mobile phones, submit documents, track applications, and make payments through available digital channels.
Property Tax and Water Bills Online
Islamabad residents can now pay their property tax and water bills through digital channels. The new option offers a simpler alternative to traditional counter-based payments and can help save time.
CDA has already introduced online options for several property and utility services. Bringing these services to the PAK App gives residents a convenient way to manage routine civic payments from their phones.
The PAK App is a government digital services platform developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB). It uses Pak ID for single sign-on and supports digital payments through Raast, where available.
More Civic Services on the PAK App
Property tax and water bills are not the only services being moved online. CDA and MCI are also expanding the range of civic services available through the platform.
These services include applications for advertising and open-space permissions, parking permits, generator licences, and other municipal approvals. The goal is to make more government services accessible without requiring residents to visit an office.
The digital system can also keep electronic records of applications, approvals, and payments. Users can submit documents, check application progress, and access complaint-related services where available.
Easier Government Services for Residents
The expansion of the PAK App aims to reduce paperwork and limit repeated visits to government offices. As more services move online, Islamabad residents can manage more routine civic tasks directly from their mobile phones.
The addition of property tax and water bill payments gives residents another convenient option for handling important civic payments. More CDA and MCI services may also be added as the digital platform continues to expand.
