Display and Design
The Infinix Note 50 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 × 2436 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. AMOLED technology allows each pixel to produce its own light, which can provide deeper blacks and strong contrast. The higher refresh rate can also make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother.
For everyday use, the screen is suitable for watching videos, browsing social media and reading articles. The large size also gives users more space for multitasking. However, a high refresh rate does not automatically guarantee better gaming performance. The processor and game optimization still matter.
The phone uses a glass front and an aluminum frame. It measures approximately 163.26 × 74.43 × 7.55mm and weighs around 199g. The official store lists Titanium Grey, Ruby Red, Mountain Shade and Shadow Black colour options.
Processor and Performance
The Infinix Note 50 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 processor. This is an octa-core chipset designed for mid-range smartphones, with a combination of performance and efficiency-focused CPU cores. The phone also includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
For normal tasks such as WhatsApp, YouTube, web browsing and social media, this hardware provides a suitable foundation. The large storage capacity is also useful for people who keep photos, videos and applications on their phone.
The phone can handle casual gaming, but buyers should not expect flagship-level performance. Demanding games may require reduced graphics settings for a smoother experience. The available specifications do not establish a universal frame-rate result for every game, so actual performance will depend on the title, software version and temperature.
Does the Infinix Note 50 have 5G?
The Pakistan model is built around the MediaTek Helio G100 processor and is listed as a 4G smartphone. Buyers who specifically need 5G should consider a model with a confirmed 5G chipset instead.
Camera Features
The Infinix Note 50 has a 50MP dual rear camera system and a 13MP front camera. Its main rear camera includes optical image stabilization, or OIS. OIS helps reduce the effect of small hand movements while taking photos or recording video.
The main camera can be useful for everyday photography, including family pictures, outdoor scenes and social media content. However, the number of megapixels alone does not determine image quality. Lighting, image processing, lens quality and stabilization also influence the final result.
The phone does not have an ultra-wide rear camera, according to the available specification listings. This means users cannot capture the same wider perspective offered by phones with a dedicated ultra-wide lens.
Battery and Charging
The Infinix Note 50 includes a 5,200mAh battery. It supports 45W wired charging and 30W wireless MagCharge. It also supports reverse charging features, allowing the phone to provide power to compatible devices.
A 5,200mAh battery is a useful capacity for a mid-range smartphone. It can support regular activities such as messaging, browsing, calls and video playback, although actual battery life depends on screen brightness, network conditions, gaming and background applications.
Wireless charging is an important feature because it is not common across every phone in this price segment. Users who already have compatible charging accessories may find it convenient. Charging speed can vary depending on the charger, temperature and usage conditions.
Software and Everyday Features
The Infinix Note 50 runs Android-based XOS software. Infinix’s Note 50 series also promotes AI-related tools and features, but the availability of individual functions can depend on the software version and region. Buyers should check the current software experience on the specific phone before purchasing.
The phone also includes an Active Halo lighting feature on the rear. This lighting system can provide visual notifications for selected activities such as calls, charging and music. It is primarily a design and notification feature rather than a replacement for the phone’s camera flash.
PTA and Warranty Considerations
Pakistani buyers should confirm that the phone is PTA-approved when purchasing a local retail unit. PTA approval is important because an imported or unregistered phone may not work on Pakistani mobile networks after the applicable registration period.
For an imported phone, PTA registration and taxes may add to the total cost. The exact amount depends on the phone’s registration details and the applicable assessment. A local retail price should not automatically be treated as the cost of importing and registering a separate handset.
Warranty is another important consideration. Ask the seller whether the phone comes with official Infinix Pakistan warranty coverage, shop warranty or no warranty. A lower price may not provide the same after-sales support as an officially warranted device.
Infinix Note 50 Colours and Storage
The official Infinix Pakistan product page lists the following colours:
- Titanium Grey
- Ruby Red
- Mountain Shade
- Shadow Black
The listed configuration is 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Buyers should confirm the storage and RAM configuration on the box before purchase, especially when comparing prices from different sellers.
Infinix Note 50 vs Infinix Note 40
The Infinix Note 50 belongs to a newer generation than the Note 40. The official Infinix Pakistan store lists the Note 40 at Rs. 57,999 and the Note 50 at Rs. 75,999. This is a listed price difference of Rs. 18,000, although actual market prices may vary.
| Feature | Infinix Note 50 | Infinix Note 40 |
|---|---|---|
| Official listed price | Rs. 75,999 | Rs. 57,999 |
| Display | 6.78-inch AMOLED | 6.78-inch AMOLED |
| Refresh rate | 144Hz | 120Hz |
| Processor | Helio G100 | Helio G99 Ultimate |
| Battery | 5,200mAh | 5,000mAh |
| Charging | 45W wired, 30W wireless | 45W wired, 20W wireless |
| RAM and storage | 8GB / 256GB | Check variant |
The Note 50 provides a higher refresh rate and a larger battery than the listed Note 40 specifications. The Note 40 may still appeal to buyers who want to spend less, but the two phones should be compared using current retailer prices and available warranty.
Is the Infinix Note 50 Worth Buying?
The Infinix Note 50 is a phone to consider if your priorities are a large AMOLED display, 256GB storage, a 5,200mAh battery and wireless charging. Its aluminum frame also gives it a more premium design.
However, buyers who mainly want high-end gaming performance or 5G connectivity should compare other phones with those specific features. The Helio G100 is a mid-range processor, and the phone’s listed 4G configuration may not meet the needs of users looking for 5G.
The most important buying decision is the final price. With local listings around Rs. 75,000, it is worth comparing the Note 50 with similarly priced phones before making a purchase. Check the exact RAM, storage, warranty, PTA status and included accessories.
