PDMA Issues Safety Advisory for Residents

The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a province-wide alert. It has directed relevant departments and district administrations to prepare for the expected weather. Authorities have also been advised to take safety measures in areas at risk from strong winds and thunderstorms.

Residents should secure loose items outside their homes. They should also stay away from trees, billboards and electrical poles during strong winds. In addition, people should seek shelter inside a safe building during lightning and avoid open spaces.

Motorists should drive carefully on wet roads. They should also avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather.
