The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed the dates for HBL PSL 12. The 12th edition of the Pakistan Super League will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027. The announcement ends weeks of speculation about the tournament window.
The next edition will feature all eight HBL PSL franchises. This follows the expanded eight-team format introduced for PSL 11. According to the PCB, officials finalised the window after consulting franchise owners and representatives at a PSL Governing Council meeting in London on September 1.
PSL 12 Dates Confirmed
According to the PCB, PSL 12 will begin on March 18 and conclude on May 2, 2027. These are the official tournament dates announced by the board. They replace earlier tentative dates reported by local media.
The announcement allows Pakistani cricket fans and franchises to start planning for the new season. Meanwhile, all eight teams will return for another edition of the country’s premier domestic T20 competition.
However, the PCB has not yet released the complete match-by-match fixture list. Details about individual match dates, venues and ticketing arrangements are expected to follow separately.

Eight Teams to Return for PSL 12
All eight franchises will compete in the upcoming season. Therefore, the expanded eight-team format will continue for a second consecutive edition after PSL 11.
The previous season also brought a major change to the player recruitment system. The first-ever PSL player auction replaced the traditional draft. In addition, the PCB has indicated that more announcements will follow about direct signings, player retentions, the trade window and the player auction.
The 2026 season also drew a record crowd of 32,461 spectators for the final at Gaddafi Stadium. This highlighted the strong interest in the competition. Peshawar Zalmi won PSL 11 after defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final.
What Comes Next for PSL 12?
Now that the tournament window is confirmed, attention will turn to squad building and the detailed schedule. The PCB is expected to provide more information about player movements, retentions, trades and the auction as preparations continue.
For now, fans know that HBL PSL 12 will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027. The PCB will announce the detailed fixtures, venues and ticketing information at a later stage.
