Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) has discontinued Honda BR-V production in Pakistan. The decision ends local assembly of the seven-seater crossover after nearly a decade.

A senior HACL executive told Dawn that the company was not facing problems sourcing parts from Japan or other countries. Instead, the BR-V had reached the end of its product lifecycle. As a result, Honda Atlas stopped production.

Honda BR-V Production Comes to an End

Honda introduced the BR-V in Pakistan in April 2017. It became Honda Atlas’s first locally assembled seven-seater model. According to Honda’s official corporate information, the BR-V joined the company’s production lineup that year.

However, BR-V production had fallen to around 25–50 units per month, according to the latest reporting. The model has also been removed from Honda Pakistan’s official website. Meanwhile, the company continues to list its other active vehicles.

Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) data cited by Dawn shows a sharp decline in combined BR-V and HR-V production. Production fell to 120 units in July and August. In comparison, the two models produced 1,460 units during the same period in 2025.

Combined sales also declined during the period. They fell to 191 units from 731 a year earlier.

No Replacement Announced Yet

Honda Atlas has not confirmed whether another seven-seater model will replace the BR-V in Pakistan. The company executive said it was too early to say if a replacement would arrive in the near future.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s SUV market has become more competitive. Recent market reports have highlighted growing competition from Chinese and Korean vehicles. These include models with hybrid, range-extended electric and fully electric powertrains.

Honda dealers also reported that the BR-V had become difficult to find in showrooms. Customer interest in new bookings and immediate purchases was limited. In addition, Honda vendors separately confirmed that local production had stopped.

For Pakistani consumers, the decision means the BR-V is no longer part of Honda Atlas’s current locally offered lineup. However, the company has not announced a replacement model or launch timeline for the seven-seater segment.
